Upgrade Packages - E-Z-GO TXT48

This page offers you the opportunity to choose an upgrade package for your golf car quickly and easily. Our packages range in performance from mild to wild. We will start at level 1 upgrades. Package Details:

As a general rule of thumb, the motor and total battery voltage determines the speed of a vehicle with a Sepex drive system such as a TXT48, not the size of the controller. Speed can be gained by replacing a factory controller with an aftermarket controller simply because the aftermarket controllers are not pre-programmed to limit your vehicle to golf course speeds.  Factory controllers, although capable of producing more speed, will limit the top speed of the vehicle to a pre-determined RPM. Aftermarket controller such as Alltrax and Navitas controllers will do the same thing, but you get to decide the max RPM. You get to decide the top speed in which the controller will allow the motor to run. All of our controllers are programmable with either a laptop PC or a Bluetooth App. As for motors, when you add a high speed motor to a system you typically lose torque unless you upgrade the controller to a higher amperage. Higher amps will give you more torque. Some of our combos will use the same components except for the controller. The package with the highest amperage controller rating will provide the most torque. The speed will be the same between these packages consisting of the same motor. The opposite effect can be expected when adding a high torque motor. Our high torque motors will give you more speed than a factory motor/controller setup but nowhere near the speed of our high speed motors. They require the most powerful controllers in our store to feed these monsters. They are very powerful motors and are built for heavy duty usage on rough terrain. Big controllers are a MUST for a high torque motor. Adding a controller of higher amperage also requires upgrading the power delivery system. The cables and solenoid are crucial components in the power delivery system. The bigger the controller, the bigger the cables and solenoid need to be. Level 1: Alltrax XCT 300 Amp Controller; This package is very basic, but will provide a nice boost in speed and torque over the stock configuration.  Will work with the factory motor
Level 2: Alltrax XCT 400 Amp Controller, 4 Gauge Cable Set, 200 Amp Solenoid & Diode; Big boost in power over stock. Nice boost in speed as well. This kit is perfect for those who want to upgrade their cart with a potential motor upgrade in their future. Works great with the factory motor. This package does not come with a motor, but any aftermarket motor can easily be added to your golf car in the future.  All you would have to do is install the new motor and update your controller settings with the correct field map.  We can provide this file. 
Level 2B:  Navitas 440 Amp Controller, On-The-Fly Programmer, 4 Gauge Cable Set, 200 Amp Solenoid & Diode; Big boost in power over stock. Nice boost in speed as well. This kit is perfect for those who want to upgrade their cart with a potential motor upgrade in their future. Works great with the factory motor. This package does not come with a motor, but any aftermarket motor can easily be added to your golf car in the future.  All you would have to do is install the new motor and update your controller settings with the correct field map.  We can provide this file.
Level 2C:  Navitas 600 Amp Controller, On-The-Fly Programmer, 2 Gauge Cable Set, 400 Amp Solenoid & Diode; Big boost in power over stock. Nice boost in speed as well. This kit is perfect for those who want to upgrade their cart with a potential motor upgrade in their future. Works great with the factory motor. This package does not come with a motor, but any aftermarket motor can easily be added to your golf car in the future.  All you would have to do is install the new motor and update your controller settings with the correct field map.  We can provide this file. 
Level 3: Alltrax XCT 400 Amp Controller, 4 Gauge Cable Set, 200 Amp Solenoid & Diode, FSIP High Speed Motor; Mild torque increase over stock. Huge boost in speed. This kit is perfect for those who want to go fast but don't need a 500 amp controller because they're riding in a neighborhood 100% of the time.
Level 3B: Navitas 440 Amp Controller, On-The-Fly Programmer, 4 Gauge Cable Set, 200 Amp Solenoid & Diode, FSIP High Speed Motor; Mild torque increase over stock. Huge boost in speed. This kit is perfect for those who want to go fast but don't need a 500 amp controller because they're riding in a neighborhood 100% of the time.
Level 4: Alltrax XCT 500 Amp Controller, 2 Gauge Cable Set, 400 Amp Solenoid & Diode, FSIP High Speed Motor; Big boost in torque and speed over stock. Will give you the same speed as the level 3 kit, but with added torque for hill climbing and off-roading.
Level 4B: Navitas 600 Amp Controller, On-The-Fly Programmer, 2 Gauge Cable Set, 400 Amp Solenoid & Diode, FSIP High Speed Motor; Big boost in torque and speed over stock. Will give you the same speed as the level 3 kit, but with added torque for hill climbing and off-roading.
Level 5: Alltrax XCT 500 Amp Controller, 2 Gauge Cable Set, 400 Amp Solenoid & Diode, FSIP High Torque Motor; Huge boost in torque over stock. Nice boost in speed as well. This is our hunting package. It's for those who love torque but don't want to sacrifice a lot of speed to gain it.  Nice top speeds with TONS of torque to do anything you need to do.
Level 5B: Navitas 600 Amp Controller, On-The-Fly Programmer, 2 Gauge Cable Set, 400 Amp Solenoid & Diode, FSIP High Torque Motor; Huge boost in torque over stock. Nice boost in speed as well. This is our hunting package. It's for those who love torque but don't want to sacrifice a lot of speed to gain it.  Nice top speeds with TONS of torque to do anything you need to do.
Level 6: Navitas 440Amp AC-Drive Conversion Kit, Includes 4kw motor, Speeds in the low to mid 20s with a small increase in torque. Added efficiency over DC systems.
Level 7: Navitas 600Amp AC-Drive Conversion Kit, Includes 4kw motor, Speeds in the mid 20s with a moderate increase in torque. Added efficiency over DC systems.
Level 8: Navitas 600Amp AC-Drive Conversion Kit, Includes 5kw motor, Speeds in the mid to upper 20s with a big increase in torque. Added efficiency over DC systems.

    Fulfillment/Shipping Policy: All items will be shipped with basic ground shipping. US Mail is our preferred shipping method, but UPS and Fedex are also used for certain items. Items that are in stock will typically ship within 1-2 business days after we receive the order. Items that are back-ordered will ship as soon as they become available. If an item is back-ordered, we will provide you with the approximate ship-date on the invoice that will be emailed to you after your order is processed. Expedited shipping is available via phone-in orders. please note that the shipping calculator on our website will not accurately figure freight costs to hawaii or alaska.  all orders going to hawaii or alaska must be phoned in or billed manually via email. this also applies to any shipment to any country outside of the usa.
