This kit is needed to convert any 1980 - 2006 NON-IQ Club Car DS to the IQ drive system. Your vehicle MUST have the IQ drive system in order to use the Alltrax XCT, Navitas TSX, or Navitas AC Drive System.
Normally we try to offer our customers OEM solutions where possible, but due to recent back-order issues with OEM wire harnesses, we've created this kit with an aftermarket wire harness to fill the void. We have examined these wire harnesses and are happy with the quality of them, so we are offering them to you in this package. Note that all other parts in this kit are OEM where possible. We can provide guidance and installation advice for this harness, just as we can with the factory harness. We are still offering the factory kit as well if you're interested in that, but it may be back-ordered. Please check with us if you have any questions regarding that. OBC NOTE: If you have a 48-volt series-drive system (lever operated F&R switch), you can re-use your existing onboard computer and your factory charger with this kit. Your solenoid interlock feature will be disabled, meaning that the vehicle can be driven while the charger cord is plugged in. Please be aware that this feature can not be retained. Please leave us a note on check-out if you wish to re-use your OBC and we will provide instructions on how to integrate it into your new wire harness and make it work flawlessly.
Throttle Options: We offer three throttle options. Throttle option 1 is the MCOR4 conversion. The MCOR4 is a factory throttle unit that will fit perfectly on all 1996 and newer Club Car DS chassis. Throttle option 2 is the Curtis PB8 potentiometer. This is more of a universal throttle device that will essentially work on any vehicle. You are responsible for making your own mounting brackets and mounting it to the vehicle chassis. This is very easy and we can explain this to you if you wish. Throttle option 3 is for those who have an existing V-glide switch on their cart. We will send you a pack of resistors that can be installed on the back of the V-glide switch to turn it into a multi-step potentiometer. A wiring schematic will be included showing you how to integrate this switch into the wire harness. A protective cover and hardware will also be included. We offer accelerator bearing and bracket assemblies with all three of our throttle options. Club Car DS golf cars are prone to wear and tear in the throttle linkage, especially older vehicles. These parts will make sure that you are getting every bit of throttle range out of your pedal that is possible.
