Navitas AC Conversion Kit, for NON-IQ or Rolling Chassis Club Car DS
Want to convert an older Club Car DS to a modern Navitas AC drive system, but your cart needs everything? This is the kit we built specifically for that situation.
Our Navitas “All Inclusive” AC Conversion Kit combines everything needed to convert an older Club Car DS chassis that has little to no usable electronics remaining. It is an ideal solution for older 36-volt carts, 48-volt Series carts, or 48-volt Regen carts where replacing the entire electrical drive system makes more sense than trying to adapt or reuse outdated components.
This package includes virtually everything required for the conversion except the key switch, since the original Club Car key switch can normally be retained.
Choose Your Navitas AC Power Level
We offer the All Inclusive kit with four Navitas AC configurations:
- 440A Controller / 4kW AC Motor – Excellent performance upgrade for general-purpose carts.
- 600A Controller / 4kW AC Motor – Increased controller capacity for stronger acceleration and performance.
- 600A Controller / 5kW AC Motor – A significant performance upgrade for customers wanting considerably more power. (Read info below regarding clearance issues on non-lifted vehicles)
- 850A Controller / 7.5kW AC Motor – EXTREME PERFORMANCE – Our maximum-performance option for customers building a serious high-power DS. (No warranty. Extremely powerful, use at your own risk) (Read info below regarding clearance issues on non-lifted vehicles)
Complete Factory-Style IQ Conversion
Older DS models were never designed around the electronics used with modern AC systems. Instead of leaving you to piece together individual components, we include a complete Factory-style Club Car IQ conversion package so the chassis can be properly converted to the newer electrical architecture required for the Navitas system.
Included in the factory style IQ conversion kit:
- Factory MCOR4 Conversion Kit Included
The package also includes our Factory MCOR4 Conversion Kit, allowing the older accelerator system to be converted to the modern Club Car MCOR4 design.
For pre-1995 Club Car DS models, minor cutting and drilling are required to complete the MCOR4 installation. We demonstrate this conversion in detail in our installation video available on our Revolution Golf Cars YouTube channel.
- Factory DS IQ Wire Harness - OEM wire harness. Superb quality for years of worry free service. Don't skimp on the wiring. A factory harness is worth it's weight in gold.
- Factory Tow/Run Switch & Bracket - Allows for a nice clean factory look
- Factory F&R switch & Housing - Clean looking OEM style housing with a factory switch. Fits in the original F&R switch location for all Club Car DS models
- Factory controller mounting panel - A proper controller mounting plate is also included, giving you a clean and secure mounting location for the Navitas controller and associated electronics. No searching for brackets, fabricating mounting solutions, or trying to piece together parts from several different kits.
- Hill Brake Rod & Latch Assembly (for 1980-1995.5 models only) - This is needed to complete the MCOR4 conversion on the older pedal design. Watch our video in the link on this page for more details.
- 2 Gauge Cable Set - for Club Car DS w/Lithium Battery and Navitas AC kit (If you're running lead acid, that's fine. Just let us know before you order)
- Albright SU280 Premium Quality Heavy Duty Solenoid
Optional Graziano Differential for Non-Lifted Carts
Customers choosing one of the Navitas configurations with the larger 5kW AC motor can also select our optional Graziano differential.
Our professionally rebuilt Graziano differential provides the additional motor clearance necessary to install the larger 5kW Navitas AC motor in a non-lifted Club Car DS chassis without interfering with the shock, shock mount, or the main frame of the car. This makes it possible to build a high-performance AC-powered DS without requiring a suspension lift simply to gain motor clearance.
If your DS has a lift kit, you can run the 5kw motor without replacing the differential. All you'll need to do is remove or relocate the passenger side shock absorber.
